Mr. Daniel Gaffney

Dan Gaffney, the Interim School #1 Principal, was born and raised in Philadelphia.  After graduating from Father Judge High School, Dan attended Saint Joseph’s University and Villanova University.  Dan taught at Woodrow Wilson High School and Cherokee High School.  After years of coaching football and girls softball,  Dan sought the adventures of school administration.  Dan served as the Assistant Athletic Director at Cherokee, then became the Principal of School #1 in Southampton in 1993.  Dan was lured to Maple Shade in 1996 where he served as Vice Principal at the high school, then the Principal of Yocum Elementary School from 1998-2012.  Since 2012, Dan has taught in the Liberal Arts Department at RCBC and has worked as an Associate and Celebrant for Givnish Funeral Homes.  Dan is married to his high school sweetheart and the love of his life, Marge.  Marge and Dan have three children, Dan, Megan and Kate.  Marge and Dan are active members of Saint Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Cinnaminson. In his free time, Dan enjoys outdoor adventures, gardening and long walks with his best dog buddy, Esther.
