K-5 Library Procedures

Kindergarten Library Procedure

Each week, the students will be able to check out one book for the whole week. If the student brings back their book on the correct Library day, they will be able to check out another book. If the student should forget their book, they will not be able to get new book until the original book is returned.

1st grade Library Procedure

Each week, the students will be able to check out 2 books.
If a child forgets one or more books on their given library day, they can not get new books until all books are returned. At that point the student can check out one book for the rest of the week.

2nd grade Library Procedure

Each week, the students will be able to check out 3 books.
If a child forgets one or more books on their given library day, they can not get new books until all books are returned. At that point the student can check out one book for the rest of the week.

3rd-5th grade Library Procedure

Each week, the students will be able to check out 3 books. At any given time a student can only check out up to 3 books.  So if they forget one book, they can still get 2 books that week in Library. Starting in October, the classroom teachers and I will ask that ONE book the students choose will be a fiction chapter book on or near the F &P reading level.

*All students are able to renew their book for additional time.
*A bill will be sent home if a book is lost or damaged.
