Ms. Stephanie Ambrose - School #1 RtI / Reading Specialist Teacher

Our school district would like to welcome Ms. Stephanie Ambrose to our School #1 RtI staff. Stephanie will be teaching in the Response to Intervention program and she is certified as a Reading Specialist.

After graduating from Montclair State University as a member of the National Educational Honor Society with a B.A. in Family and Child Studies and her Elementary Education Teaching Certificate, Ms. Ambrose was employed as a high qualified, third grade core content and integrated ESL teacher in Hudson County from 2008-2014. During her career there, Ms. Ambrose was selected as a Teacher of the Year. In addition, she was an Apple Vanguard district technology leader, district leader for the Teacher Evaluation Framework, district representative for the Hudson County Curriculum Consortium, PreK-3 Safety Committee Teacher Representative, and demonstration teacher for literacy and mathematics.  Ms. Ambrose was also filmed for an episode of the NJEA Classroom Close-Up.

In 2014, Ms. Ambrose graduated with a M.A. in Reading and her NCATE Approved PreK-12 Reading Specialist Certificate. She relocated back home to Ocean County and received a Basic Skills Reading Specialist position in Monmouth County.  While working there, Ms. Ambrose served on the Strategic Planning State of the Schools Committee & Community Engagement and Outreach Action Plan Committee, assisted in redesigning the Gifted & Talented criteria and curriculum, participated on the Google-Technology Committee, acted as a PARCC Technology School Coordinator, and hosted school-wide Family Literacy Nights.

During her free time, Ms. Ambrose loves exploring new places and taking road trips, being outdoors and hiking, spending time with her family and friends, reading (of course!), and cooking new, healthy recipes.

Ms. Ambrose is both grateful and esteemed for the opportunity to begin her position as the School #1 RtI Reading Specialist. The Southampton School District is excited to be adding an educator of Ms. Ambrose's caliber to our teaching staff!
