Mrs. Asia Michael
Mrs. Asia Michael joined the Southampton Township School District in January 2018 as the Director of Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment. Prior to becoming a member of the district’s administrative team, Mrs. Michael worked as a Director of Curriculum and Vice Principal for the Springfield Township School District for three years, as a fourth and fifth grade teacher in Burlington Township, NJ for ten years, and as a fourth grade teacher in Trenton, NJ for three years.
Mrs. Michael attended Rutgers University where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Biology and Sociology before obtaining her Masters of Science in Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment. A few years later, she completed an Educational Leadership program to obtain her supervisor and principal certifications.
Mrs. Michael is currently a member of a number of professional organizations, including the New Jersey Principals and Supervisors Organization, Burlington County Curriculum Consortium, Burlington County Principals and Supervisors Organization, Regional Directors Consortium, Burlington County Curriculum Consortium Steering Committee, the South Jersey Data Leadership Partnership, and the Lenape Regional Curriculum Consortium.
Mrs. Michael resides in Burlington Township with her husband, Anthony, and her two children, Ashanti and Taariq. In her leisure time, Mrs. Michael loves spending time with her family, reading, traveling, planning family events, volunteering in the community, and making craft projects with her nieces and nephews.
