About the STAR Foundation

The Southampton Township Academic Resources Foundation (STAR) is a private, independent, non-profit corporation consisting of Southampton Township residents that was created in 1999.

It is the mission of the STAR Foundation to enhance the quality of education and educational opportunities for the students of the Southampton Township School District. This is accomplished by attracting and allocating financial gifts for the funding of innovative program and projects.

Funding for mini-grants, collaborative grants, and major grants provided by STAR is used to enhance and enrich the educational programs of the school district that are beyond those that can funded via the school district's budget.

It is important to note that the funding obtained by STAR is totally from local citizens and businesses, and is in no way linked with the use of public funds or the Southampton Township School District budget.
