Lego Club

Southampton Township School #1 is excited to offer Second Graders Lego Club as an after school program.  This is an exciting program enabling children to construct Lego models with peers and collaborate as a team.  During Lego Club, your child will work with Lego bricks to gain understanding in simple machines. We will discover basic physical science concepts such as gears, pulleys, levers, wheels, and axles. 

Lego Club will excite your child’s natural interest in science and engineering.  He/she will observe, investigate, design, reason, predict, reflect, and think critically.  Lego club will also encourage students to communicate with each other and solve a problem by building in pairs according to a set of rules.

Second Grade Lego Club will run after school on Tuesdays.  Lego Club will start on September 24 and continue until March 24th.   The group will meet until 4:30 and transportation is not provided.  If your child is interested in Lego Club, please fill out the form below and return to school by Friday, September 13, 2019.  Twenty students will be selected into Lego Club by a lottery drawing after Sept. 13th. Due to limited availability, please make sure your child is fully committed to the 20 weeks.  A letter will be sent home to notify you of your child’s acceptance.
