Welcome!
My name is Mrs. Danielle Madison and I am the School Counselor for all students in grades Kindergarten through 4th grade. This is my eighth year at Southampton Township Schools. I thoroughly enjoy working with the students, staff, and families of Southampton. Before my time in Southampton, I was also a School Counselor in Maryland and Pennsylvania. Below are some of the services that I provide to students, parents, and staff members.
¶ The counselor is available to meet with all students. Students can self-refer. Teachers and parents can also refer students to the counselor.
¶ Hold small counseling groups that run throughout the year and are based on need expressed by students, teachers, administrators, and parents (parental consent is required). Some possible group topics are: Friendship/Social Skills, Grief/Loss, Study Skills, Divorce/Changing Families, Anger Management, Stress/Worry Management
¶ Collaborate with parents and teachers regarding academic, social, and behavioral/emotional development
¶ Assist with student assessment, data collection, and data interpretation
¶ Help identify the needs of students both academically and social/emotionally
¶ Serve as the Anti-Bullying Specialist, chair of the RTI/I&RS committee, 504 co-coordinator, and member of the Burlington County School Crisis Response Team
¶ Connect educators, students, and families with community and mental health resources
¶ Coordinate school wide character education/bullying prevention awareness activities
¶ Meet with classes to provide classroom guidance lessons
¶ Promote a positive attitude, positive school climate, and assist in helping students make good decisions
I am here to help students achieve their personal/social and academic goals, as well as provide support for the parents and teachers.
